In this layout, I let the patterns in the papers do the embellishing, and the pictures do all the talking. Miss M went crazy for the rocking horse she got for Christmas from their grandparents (with Taco. We usually know which grandparents are who, by using ‘with Bella‘ or ‘with Taco’. On my side, g and g are known as Oma and Poppa.) Now that we have that cleared up, grandma and grandpa with Taco, along with their cousin C, came to visit and celebrate on Boxing Day 2011.
The love notes embellishment is actually a journalling spot that I tucked behind the photos.
Except the yellow card stock and the green patterned paper, everything here is Jillibean Soup.
In this layout, I used a variety of Close to My Heart patterned papers in brown, blue and pink. I used the gold washi to make “x’s” symbolizing that what happened in the story the pictures are telling is wrong. (And, it goes something like this- C was happily playing with the stroller, another Christmas present for my girls, and Miss A stole it from her).
It is hard to see, but the washi is in an “x” shape, and they do form a visual triangle. They are attempting to be embellishments, but the translation got a bit lost. It’s easier to see IRL. Nevertheless, this layout is full of adorable kids!
