Baby Belly Congrats

The catalyst behind creating this card was one I found on Pinterest. I absolutely loved the idea of creating a pregnant belly silhouette and wanted to recreate it for myself. I started off by tracing around two jars of varying size and fussy cutting the shape out. I card one, I utilized the negative portion of my cardstock (CTMH White Daisy) and placed scrap patterned paper underneath (CTMH Seaside). On the second card, I traced around the positive portion (which is now a template for future cards) lightly in pencil, then roughly doodled over it giving a doodled effect. To create the watercolor background, I used yellow and green gelatos.
This card inspired me, which you can find on my Pinterest:

Sharing in Your Sorrow

I’m back again today, and even though I’ve got a special request installment II layout, I wanted to share another card that was made for a sweet rainbow baby. She was just 3 weeks old when she succumbed to SIDS. Her daddy works with my husband, and it’s touched us all.
The layout was created using my cricut explore. I matted some scrap patterned paper underneath the 4 on the ruler, denoting this sweet baby’s age in the layout. I also layered some patterned paper underneath the arrow for added oomph. Lastly, I stamped and fussy cut part of the title and added a punched border to the cardstock in the background.
I have one more layout that I made to share today, using the Balloon Wishes stamp set. If you purchase the marker roll up case (retail value $21.25), you’ll receive the Balloon Wishes stamp set free!

The Best Day

All three of these projects have mostly CTMH products on them, with a few touches from other manufacturers here and there! The third project, a page in my personal scrapbook album, has a water color background that was created by coloring directly on an acrylic stamping block and spraying it with water. Stamp and repeat until the entire page or space you want covered is covered! Easy Peasy!
The card was made for my husband’s boss, who just welcomed his second grandchild into the world. Tomorrow I’ll share another card that goes along with this one.
Hope to see you again tomorrow!

CTMH Taste of Summer Baby Card

Hey y’all!  The day started out incredibly humid- after running around in it getting my groceries bought and trying to keep my kids in line while doing it- I began to wonder what’s worse: being sticky – feeling due to humidity or sweaty due to the heat. It’s almost a tie, I think!
I have a card to share today!

Every single element, ink and stamp on this card is Close to My Heart! Only the brads and grey and teal papers aren’t CTMH. This card card was made for a friend that had a baby a few weeks ago. I’m still swooning over pics of him. He’s so adorable! (Not to mention every other newborn in the history of ever).
This card was my inspiration, and is pinned to this Pinterest board.
