April Card Blitz Creative Projects

I finished April’s card blitz today, and I’m so excited to share it with you!

I realized towards the end that I should throw a couple Mothers Day cards into the mix, since it’s in May! There’s also a mix of birthday, anniversary, wedding, thank you and get well cards.

I’m open for orders right now. If you’d like any one of these cards, or all of them, let me know. They’ll be shipped to you as a kit, along with easy to follow instructions. $25 CAD.

You’re invited to my card blitz on April 29 if you live in the Whitecourt area. It’ll be held at the Days Inn at 2 pm. Bring a friend and get your geek on! In 1.5 hours, make as many cards as you want. There will be a minimal amount of fussy cutting, the rest is already done for you! Scissors are provided, though you should bring your own adhesive. The cost of the blitz is $25.

Will I see you there? I hope so!

April’s TEDS Events

TEDS, as in The Everyday Scrapbooker, as in CTMH 😉

Lots of events are coming up, and I thought I’d share them with you 😊

In April, I’ve got two public events to share with you: on Saturday, the 14th, I’m hosting a layout blitz. There will be four 2-page layouts to create- make one or all of them! The choice is yours! The cost is $40, and includes two single page bonus layouts for an additional charge. The blitz begins at 2 MST!

Then on the 29th, I’m hosting my card blitz. There’s 11 cards to choose between. In 1.5 hours, make what you’d like. That could be three cards, or all 11. You choose! The fee is $25. 2 pm the fun begins!

Both events will be held in the breakfast room at the Days Inn Whitecourt.

Now, I have a little secret to share with you. National Scrapbooking Day is coming up. It’s on May 5, the first Saturday in May. I’m planning a special event for NSD, and I’m hoping to make it a monthly event. Isn’t holding paper crafting events such a great idea for NSD?!

The event I’m planning? It’s a Day Crop! And, the best part is that there’s no registration fee!! Instead, place a small order of $30 on my Close to My Heart website, and that will count as your registration fee! There will be no workshops, either. Bring what you’d like to work on, and that’s all you’ll need. Supper will be provided. Join me from 11 am-11 pm Saturday May 5. It’ll be a great day!

As always, if you’re interested in hosting a Home Gathering, or would like to join my team (perhaps do both??), comment on this post or send me an email. I’d love to help you with both!

Card Overload

Hello friends, I’m dropping in early because I’ve got to catch up on household chores and errands before I can play again. I’m letting my car warm up before heading out for groceries, so I’ll take that time to visit with you 😊

I have the last of the cards we’ll be making at March’s card buffet to share today. Enjoy!

last three cards are scrap lifts of myself! Lol

The top card is a replica of a batch of birthday cards I just made (they'll be in tomorrow's post); the middle Card is a lift of the Make and take from my upcoming open house (two days and counting! Are you coming?); and lastly, the cats Meow Card is a lift of the children's valentines we'll be making in February's workshop.

Thanks for joining me today 😊

CTMH Bloom & Grow

January’s stamp of the month is a lot of fun. I’ve seen it used on gift bags, as tags, and on cards. To show you, I googled a couple images for you:

There are a plethora of cards made using this stamp set, but here’s what I made using it:

It looks great paired with Basics Fundamentals. Doesn’t the Sorbet colour pop against the Pewter?! Fern is the perfect finishing touch.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the last couple cards that’ll be in the spotlight at March’s card buffet.

CTMH Make Waves Stamp Sets

Good afternoon, friends! I thought I’d share a bit more about the Make Waves cards I made yesterday. If you missed it, go here.

Both stamp sets belong with the Make Waves collection- one coordinates with the card making kit, and the other is for the scrapbooking kit.

(Top photo- card making kit; bottom photo- scrapbooking kit). The blue line around some of the images indicates that a thin cut coordinates with that stamp set, as well.

What’s a thin cut? They are small dies that can be used in your cuttlebug or other die cutting machine for a flawlessly cut (and stamped!) image.

There’s one more card that I created using the Make Waves card stamp set.

This is another addition to my card buffet coming up in March. I’m trying hard to make use of all the extra papers and scraps I’ve got floating around. It’s a great way to make room for new things. And, that’s always a bonus!

I did create more cards today, but I’ll share them with you tomorrow. One of them was created using Januarys SOTM, Bloom & Grow. Stay tuned!

Heads Up: Another Workshop is Coming!

Another card buffet is in the works! My upcoming card buffet (inaugural event) has had such a positive and overwhelming response, I’ve planned another one. Thank you so much, everyone!

I’m also planning a layout buffet, too. More details on that coming up in the near future. Stay tuned!

I named my event (find it on Facebook here) Fundamentals Twist, but the first 4 or 5 cards I made are all Make Waves in nature. I think a name change might be a good idea!

See what I mean?! (There’s a couple more now, that aren’t pictured). Maybe I should name it a Whaley Good Time Card Buffet 😂

Are you local to Whitecourt? If you are, join me March 24 from 2-5 pm. Childcare is provided! Click the link above for more info, and be sure to mark yourself ‘going’ if you plan to come!

I’ll share all the samples here when they’re done. Check back soon!
