More CTMH Heart Happy

Hello friends!

I have a couple more layouts to share with you today- both were created using CTMH Heart Happy.

First, a little crafting tip. To stretch your papers, making them last forever, trim them into strips of varying widths and lengths to create a visually rich design that’s full of texture! See this design principle in action below:

In the layout above, I paired stamping from D1815 Bunches of Love to create the splatter effect along the bottom and top right of the layout in Sapphire, Raspberry and Mint ink. I also added cricut die cut hearts in coordinating colors for a tone on tone look.

Don’t forget, the Heart Happy paper packet is available this month only, meaning it expires January 31! If you love this collection as much as I do, may I suggest ordering it before it’s too late?! You can order it online from my CTMH website. Follow this link to get there!

CTMH Heart Happy

Hi everyone!

My order has finally arrived! It came yesterday, and I’ve already played with my new goodies. I’m on the ball this time. It feels so good!

I could not wait to play with Heart Happy, which was the most important item in my order. December and January’s stamp of the months, too. That’ll be coming soon.

Today, I want to introduce you to Heart Happy. There are a variety of options to purchase this workshop. You choose what jives with you the most! Visit my website to see all the ways this kit is available!

I chose the workshop kit. For $54, you get a lot of goodness for the price it is. Shimmer trim, silver glitter dots, card stock, patterned paper, 10 card bases and envelopes, stickers and the stamp set is all included with this option. It’s regularly over $70! Yep, so you’re getting it at 25% off. Lucky you! The creativity and inspiration- it has no limit.

Here’s the first layout I made using it:

What a fantastic way to show off all the colors, patterns and texture in the kit! I’m all 😍 over this layout. My original inspiration came from Pinterest (go Pinterest!!)

All I did to create this layout, is trim zip strips and strips from all the patterned paper to 0.5×5 inches, and adhered them in an irregular pattern along the top of the layout base. So simple!

Next, using the coordinating stamp set, I used some of the words in the set, to create word boxes around my photo. It’s not easy to see in the photo, but I stamped the words in the same color ink as the card stock, for a tone on tone look. To embellish, I added Bashful pearls, mint enamel dots and black enamel dots.

Lastly, I created the title using the coordinating stamp set, and created the border along the bottom of the layout base with mint and Ballerina ink.

I hope you enjoyed today’s layout! Stay tuned for more, coming soon!

CTMH Magnolia Frame Kit

Good day, friends! If you haven’t seen the Magnolia Frame kit from CTMH, are you in for a treat! This kit is incredibly stunning!

It’s way bigger than I expected! Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. The shiplap sheet that fits inside the frame is 12×12 inches. The frame itself measures probably 16×16. I didn’t measure it, but it is quite large, which made my heart really happy. The frame itself is sturdy- it’s made from chipboard- but, it’s still light enough to hang on your wall with finishing nails. No need to anchor this puppy. The frame comes in two pieces. First is the chipboard portion of the frame, and secondly is the paper overlay of the frame. It’s double sided! Choose from a warm varnished wood look, or vintage whitewash look. (View the image above). You choose which side you like better!

There’s also a backing, which is chipboard, and it gives what you put inside a sturdy support. It’s also chipboard. It has two perforated holes on the back side to hang on your finishing nails. They pop out easily when you’re ready to hang your magnificent wall art.

Included in the kit is easy to follow instructions, along with tons of visual inspo! Wow, there are a variety of impressive ways to decorate your frame- there’s no limit to what you could do!

I used that inspo as a starting point, then gave the frame my own unique twist.

Before I go on, I should point out that the flowers, leaves and rose gold floral sprigs are all included in the kit. I’ve even got some left over! “Home” and “Love” are included, as well. You choose what your frame says! (You’ll be instructed to curl the flowers for dimension, and the leaves, for the same reason).

I chose to go with “Home”, and before I adhered it to the included shiplap base, I turned to my cricut, and cut the letter K (it’s about 8.5×8.5 inches). It’s hard to see, but I cut it from White Daisy card stock. Next, using American Typewriter font in bold, I cut est. 2009 for the year we got married. That’s cut from Black card stock. Using 3D pop dots, home got some dimension when I glued it to the backing. Everything else was attached with regular adhesive. (Note that the chipboard pieces are adhered together with Liquid Glass. I also attached the “wooden frame” with liquid Glass.

Are you in love with it yet?!

There’s a couple ways to snag your own kit. First, the traditional way- purchasing it! $39 gets you the whole kit. I should mention that this kit would make an incredible gift. Know someone getting married? Just moved into a new home? Had your first child or grand child? These are all fantastic reasons to get it! If more than one of these ideas applies to you, why not order a couple? If you do, the price drops from $39 each to $32.50 each.

Want three or more kits? Well, it’s a good thing you asked. The price drops even further when you want a bundle of Magnolia Frames. Yep, it drops to $26.50 each. What a great deal!

Still a little rich for your liking? No problem. There’s two ways you could earn the kit (just one, mind you) absolutely free. Consider hosting a Home Gathering with me. When your party total order $150 or more in sales, boom! You’ve just earned the frame free! Another option is joining my team. To make your start up kit completely your own, CTMH will throw the kit in, absolutely free; they’ll also give you $60 CTMH cash as a thank you for signing up, to use any way you wish. What a great way to customize your kit- and what a stunning start up kit it’ll be! The Magnolia Kit is the silver lining! You’re essentially getting roughly $80 in free product! Whoop!

Which way would you run with this? There’s so many great options to choose from! Here’s the fine details: this kit is available January 1-31, 2019 only. Beyond that, and you’ll be out of luck. Purchase as many kits as you like for $39 each- two or more drops to $32.50 each, three or more drops to $26.50 each. You could also earn it for free if you host a Home Gathering only in January, or join my team only in the month of January. Noticing a theme? January is key. In February, there’ll be all new promotions!

So, that’s a lot to absorb already, isn’t it? Between the Magnolia Kit and Something Fierce, could there be any more to tickle your fancy? Believe it or not, there is! I’ll be back again soon with January’s stamp of the month and another special promotion that solely belongs to January. Stay tuned!

CTMH Great Outdoors & True North

Good evening!

I sat down today to create (what else is new?) and I pulled out CTMH True North and Great Outdoors. Why did I wait so long to play with these kits?!

Both kits are mainly card stock (True North has some Grateful Heart patterned paper mixed in), which gives you free reign to mix and match whichever papers- from whichever collections- you’d like! Or, stretch your creative muscle, and make your own custom patterns!

I used up my very last sheet of the Hello Pumpkin paper packet (that amazing Buffalo Plaid), and paired it with some of the Seasonal Mix-Ins paper (which I hadn’t used as of yet, either) and card stock from the kit.

To complete this layout, I used stamps from both True North and Great Outdoors. As you can see, Great Outdoors would suit your hunter lovers perfectly. There’s Moose, a bear, Canadian Goose, Trout and more in the set! But, I really love the Buffalo Plaid here! 😍

In my True North Layout, I actually lifted the single layout that’s part of the instruction guide and expanded on it. I replicated our flag (vertically, not horizontally), and stamped the maple leaf in the white daisy portions on either side of the photo (in the original its red card stock). I also added a touch of Kraft because I think red and Kraft looks dynamite together!

Some of the stamping is different, also. I made this layout my own, and that’s totally ok! You can do the same. You’ll rock it, when you do. What’s inspired you lately? Don’t be afraid to create it and make it your own, too!

I’ve got another True North Layout on my desk, so stay tuned for that one, as well. It’ll be coming soon.

Both these collections are available right now to purchase from my website. To start shopping, visit my website here. After December 31, they’ll no longer be here! Don’t miss out!

Just Treats CTMH SOTM

New month equals new stamp of the month!

I’ve been seeing a lot of artwork popping up on Facebook lately with images from the current SOTM and it’s got me chomping at the bit. I can hardly wait to get mine! Also, I can’t wait to put my haven back together. Crafting without it bites. Cue sad face 😩

What is the stamp of the month, and what makes it so special? Well, as the name implies, it’s a new stamp set that’s featured every month at Close to My Heart, and it’s only available during that particular month. Once the month comes to a close, the stamp set is retired, and a new one takes its place at the start of the next month. Every month, it’s something different. One month, it could be pretty, frilly and floral, and the next it could be Christmas or Halloween themed. Much like September’s Just Treats SOTM. See it below.

That’s part of what makes the SOTM special! It constantly changes, it’s available only for a limited time, and it’s an incredible deal.

When a customer places an order on their consultants’ website- either online or by the consultant herself- when that order reaches $50 CAD, the shopper automatically becomes eligible to purchase the SOTM at a huge discount. Yes, that’s right. You’ll receive a steep discount when your order reaches $50 or more. This stamp set retails for $24, but you can get it for $6.

Isn’t that amazing?! CTMH is all about giving back, so in addition to such a fantastic incentive for placing an order, they take it a step further, and give each shopper a break on shipping charges. Shipping is always $10 or 10% of the order total, whichever is greater. CTMH is honestly so generous!

I’ve sent parcels myself, and shipping starts at $15 and goes up from there. To date, the most for shipping I’ve charged was nearly $30. We are getting a great deal on shipping from CTMH. There’s so much to love about this company; the two points I shared with you barely scrapes the surface of the iceberg.

September’s SOTM is available for the remainder of the month. You can purchase it now from my website. Click here to visit my website and get your hands on this festive stamp set! Don’t forget, it’s just $6 when your order total reaches $50 or more!

Happy shopping, friends!

September with TEDS + CTMH

Hi guys!

September is going to be a big month! My word, I’m going to need all your help!

Ok peeps! I’ve got a challenge for you! You like sneak peeks, right? I know I do! My AMAZING customers helped me reach a CTMH sales goal back in June, and this time I’m asking you to help me, too!

Help me reach $500 in sales THIS MONTH, and I’ll be able to show you January’s CTMH campaign early- like OCTOBER early!!

Everyone that places orders through me THIS MONTH ONLY will receive a special gift as a thank you 🙏 Are you in?! We’ve got 28 days left to make this happen! Let’s do this!

theeverydayscrapbooker.closetomyheart.ca

Order anything you’d like, as many times as you’d like. There’s nothing specific you need to purchase, and there’s no hidden surprises for helping me out. Instead, I’ll give back to you. Every person that makes an order this month only, will receive a $5 credit on their next order. Just one $5 credit per person, though.

You’ll also get a sneak peek of January’s National Paper crafting month special. Any guesses as to what it might be? I couldn’t even venture a guess!

I’ll have more to share with you later this month (sales campaigns, favourite products, organization tips (ink, more specifically), and more. Stay tuned- it’s going to be a wild ride!

July CTMH SOTM

This layout makes my heart go pitter- patter.

Bright colors make me so happy. When it jives it makes me even happier. I paired Raspberry card stock with some retired Whimsy patterned papers for this sweet layout about a homework assignment the twins brought home. It included Flat Stanley. I have space for journaling, but I’m leaving it blank right now because I need a few important details from the twins. (Mainly, what the homework assignment was, lol). It’s so important to record the details- big or little- and this is why! My memory sucks!

I used two different stamp sets in this layout too, but you’ll have to look hard to see the second one. Central Park is easy to spot- it’s the houses and title; July’s stamp of the month is harder to spot because it’s in one small area of the layout. The arrow in the upper left of page 1, with home stamped in it is from the SOTM. Check out this layout:

The SOTM is all over the place in this one. It’s perfect for a ton of different layout themes- from work to birthdays to concerts to even your pets. What’s not to love about this stamp set?!

The SOTM is only available until the end of July, so it’s for a limited time. It’s yours for $23 CAD when you order from my website. If that order reaches $50 total (or more), our gift to you is dropping the SOTM price to just $6 CAD. This is such a great deal. A lot of people love getting it at a discounted price; I know you will too. (I think I’ll be hanging onto this stamp set for awhile. It’s so versatile, I can see it being useful for lots of things). If you agree (even if you don’t), you’ll find it very useful. You should buy it. Don’t miss out!

Of Leopards and Apples ðŸŽ

I took a bit of time to create a personal layout, and I’d like to share it with you.

Central Park is a perfect match for the photo in my layout. The Blue, yellow and red are already found in those papers, so it was only natural to pair them together.

If you noticed, I didn’t use strictly Central Park papers here. I used whatever scraps I had that coordinated- and happily, that was lots of scraps! I trimmed them into 2×2 squares, and arranged them in a grid above and below my photo. I used a zip strip from the Central Park range as a border, and stamped the cute leopard print next to that.

I also thought immediately of B1568 Wild Backgrounds for the leopard print in Miss M’s pyjamas. It only made sense to utilize that stamp somehow, too. And lastly, I figured I had better use June’s SOTM before the month ran out!

I watercolored the apples and apple basket from the A Bushel and a Peck SOTM. I also used one of the sweet sentiments in it, as well as the small graphic stamps to add some flourish. Another one made up my title. How sweet is you are awesome to the core?

Leopard print and apples seems like an unlikely pair, but it works here! I wonder if leopards eat apples when they’re feeling peckish? 😉

June CTMH Card Blitz

How is everyone doing? I’m just over here, prepping for my last card blitz of the year, and a last minute crop. If you’re in the area this Saturday (the 2nd) or June 23, join me!

Here’s what’s up for my card blitz, so far.

I finally used our stamp of the month! I should have used it weeks ago, but there were other things on the go. I’m glad there’s still today and tomorrow left to snag it. So, if you like what you see, order it up! It’s just $6 when you make a $50 order. Saving rocks! This offer ends at 11:59 pm tomorrow evening (MST). (The SOTM cards are the two yellow ones near the end, FYI). There’s just a few cards there 😉 I don’t want to confuse anyone, that wouldn’t be good!

I still have a few more cards to make for this blitz, including some Fathers’ Day cards! And, you know what the greatest news ever is?!

I’ve been invited to share my upcoming card blitz with the community facilitator in Fox Creek! If you’re in the area, stay tuned for the dates. I’d love to have you join us! I’ll need 5 people committed to coming otherwise it won’t happen! Dates will be announced shortly, so stay tuned! (Facebook might be best, just in case I don’t make it back here to share with you).

Where am I on Facebook? Here!

FYI- I have another one in Fox Creek scheduled for this Fall, too. You’ll definitely want to watch for more info on that! It’ll be a lot of fun! And, as always, kits are available to long distance customers. Can’t make it? No sweat! Order a kit to complete on your own, instead!

On a side note, if you’d like to experience your own incredible opportunities, give me a shout. I’d love to help you reach that goal! It’s really easy to do, I promise!

CTMH Dad is Rad

Introducing CTMH Dad is Rad! This kit features card stock in varying shades, a sheet of gold glitter paper, card bases and envelopes, ribbon, those super duper cute bows AND a stamp set! All for $38 CAD. It’s ideal for all the men in your life, whoever fills the role of dad to you. The best part is that when you purchase the kit, you’ll get the coordinating cutting guide free! Free is good. I like free. Don’t you?!

Create all this- and more- using the items from the kit above. Did you notice the papers’ torn edges in the layouts above? Doesn’t it look great? I have to admit, that’s a technique I don’t use often enough, but it packs quite the punch! All our cardstock has a white core, so it adds to the effect. I think it’s the perfect touch for a masculine layout. How would you use the papers in this kit? Tell me, in the comments below! I’d love to know!

This kit is available right now! It went ‘live’ a couple days ago, but you have until June 30, 2018 to snatch it up! It’ll be on my next order. Would you like to add to it? Give me a raised 🤚 if you would!! You can visit my website to order yourself, too. My website is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Order In your pj’s or otherwise, whatever floats your boat 🚣‍♀️. I’m pretty good at answering comments and private messages, too. Just saying 😉
