CTMH Cut Above Scrapbook Kits

Long time no see! My world turned upside down a few months back, and I’m just beginning to resurface. I’m still hurting deeply, but I’m taking the good days along with the bad. I know what needs to be done to weather this storm, and so far, it’s been working. #fitnessforlife, amirite? And, of course, using my me-time to create is also in my plan to rebound.

In April, Close to My Heart is sharing a wonderful way to scrapbook using the Cut Above line. It makes your crafting a breeze because everything is done for you. That means there’s no measuring or cutting, or playing around with placement. It has already been done for you! Find all the stickers and die cuts you need to decorate your layouts, and assemble it easily using the included instructions.

Set aside 15 minutes in your day to create. That’s doable, isn’t it? The best part of this deal is that it’s just $9.50- half price! Talk about time saving and affordable! Whether you’ve got babies in your life, or a special someone, creating with these kits will be a pleasure.
I’m collecting orders for these kits right now. Message me to reserve yours. This deal expires on April 30, 2017.

A Thousand Wishes

Good morning! It’s a quiet house today- my kids are away for the weekend, visiting with their grandparents. I can breathe!

Happy 149th birthday, Canada!

I created this double page layout for another challenge over at Scrapbook Generation last month (or slightly longer ago, now); I’ve actually got another layout on the go that’s using this same exact sketch. It’s sitting on my desk as I type this. It’ll likely be another month (sorry!) before you get to see it, though. Oddly enough, there are some parallels between this one and the one on my desk. And, it’s not the paper. Lol! The one on my desk is about airplanes, and in this one, my kids and husband are running around just like airplanes.

The challenge, when I created this spread, was to complete a layout using this sketch. Isn’t it lovely? I had fun with the patterned paper mats in the background. I used CTMH Happy Times almost exclusively here, with the exception of a couple different CTMH stamps and my cricut for some die cutting. I may have snuck some CTMH Taste of Summer in there, too.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope this spread- or the sketch- inspires you to create today!

Shoestring Planner Tuesday

This week, I chose a red, white and black theme, with a few touches here and there of CTMH Thistle ink, as well.

A really great stamp set- that I’m finding I turn to regularly for my planner spreads- is CTMH From the Notebook. It’s a Stamp of the Month that hasn’t been released yet. How exciting is that?! Stay tuned for it, it’ll be available in the near future.

I love using this stamp set because many of the stamps within it are small, making them perfect for use in daily planners, snail mail, bullet journals, scrapbooking and card making. So, all those little stars, arrows, envelopes, thumbs ups, tabs, etc are all from this particular stamp set. (And then some. I haven’t used all the stamps in this set, yet! You will see sneaks of more of it in the near future- on layouts and in my personal mail art. Keep your eyes peeled for it!)

Yes for versatility!

As a side note, the For the Notebook stamp set is not currently available to purchase. I will let you know when it is available, though!

CTMH Scrapbook albums

Close to My Heart carries a wide variety of crafting and papercrafting products, including scrapbook albums.

Their albums come in post bound and D- ring styles, are durable and sturdy and are pretty to look at. There are a variety of patterns to choose from, too!

The best part is that they’re currently on sale at CTMH! Receive 25% off your album order through the remainder of June! That means they’re only $31 CAD!

To order yours, please visit my website at http://www.theeverydayscrapbooker.ctmh.com. You can also comment on this post to reserve one for yourself too!

June CTMH Specials

Are you familiar with CTMH? Do you know what this acronym stands for and what it even is? I have been asked in the past, which is why I mention it.

Close to My Heart, or CTMH for short, is a direct sales papercrafting business specializing in stamping and crafting products for over 30 years! That’s a long time! They offer a variety of products, from photo polymer stamps, to paper products, and jewelry products to to party supplies and home decor. There’s lots to choose from!

I am an CTMH independent consultant and have had my business for two years. I love scrapbooking (as you well know based on my blog), and I love sharing my passion with others.

Now that you’re caught up, I have some CTMH news to share with you! For the month of June ONLY, every weekend (Friday to Monday), there will be a flash sale. New product, retired product, you’ll get a little bit of everything out of each sale- at great prices, too!

You still have time to check out this weekends’ sale. It doesn’t end until 5 pm MST today! Get on it before things sell out! Here are a few of my favorites:

There’s much more than just this that’s available this weekend. Visit http://www.theeverydayscrapbooker.ctmh.com to check out all the sale items!

One of the new products that’s available at CTMH is Tickled Pink (stamp set), and the coordinating paper packet called Calypso. It can be purchased as a packet (just the patterned paper), or as a scrapbook workshop. The workshop includes stickers, ephemera, all the coordinating paper from the collection, and printable instructions for creating your layouts  (there’s 6 layouts in total!)

The coordinating stamp set (and die) is extra. They are super duper cute! I’m dying to order the die set, which will work in most die cutting machines (cuttlebug, big shot, etc).

*Just a note- these products are not necessarily part of the grab bags (flash sale) I mentioned above. These are products found in the Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog.*

Here’s the first few layouts I made using both these products. I hope they inspire you!

All of these layouts were inspired by a variety of sketches, which can be found here. (Search for the board called Fave sketches.)

If any of these products interests you, there are a few ways to start an order. Visit my website at http://www.theeverydayscrapbooker.ctmh.com; you’ll be able to order directly from there. You can email me at theeverydayscrapbooker@gmail.com or leave me a comment below! They’re all very easy, just choose whichever method is most convenient for you.

If you’re not Canadian (sorry), you can search for the consultant nearest you from my website. Once you get in touch with them, they’ll take great care of you!

CTMH Happy Times

I want to share the last layouts and cards I made using the beautiful Happy Times Paper packet from Close to My Heart. You’ve got very little time left to claim them for yourself, and they’re way too pretty to pass up! The paper is just $17.75 CAD (there’s 12 sheets of 12×12 patterned paper in the packet). What a great deal! The stamp set could be yours for $21.25 (there’s 18 pieces in the stamp set).

But, hold on. I have one more surprise for you. Did you know you can earn the paper packet for FREE? You absolutely can!

Hop on over to my website, and browse around. While you’re making your order (online or by contacting me), you’ll receive the paper packet free when you spend $70 CAD. You won’t be disappointed, I promise. There’s ombre paper, wood grain paper (think like old barn board), gold foil…the list goes on. Pretty!

Here’s what I made using it, and I’ve still got paper left over!

So, that’s 5- FIVE- layouts, and ten cards using this bright, warm summery paper. How many projects could you make with it?

Which is your favorite? Let me know below in the comments. If you’re Canadian and want this set, please contact me! If you are located elsewhere, all you need to do is head to the CTMH website and search for a consultant near you!

Did you get the memo?

Once May is over, you’ll no longer be able to purchase the beautiful Happy Times Paper packet and coordinating stamp set.

To view both these lovely products- and to purchase them- visit my website here.

In the meantime, here’s another project I made using this paper:

The flowers were stamped with Beloved Bouquet in CTMH Blush and Cotton Candy inks. The leaves were stamped with Sweet Leaf and Juniper inks.

CTMH Celebrate With Cake

Good morning! Welcome to Monday AND to National Scrapbooking week! Are you participating in any crops or NSD events and activities?

Scrapbook Generation is hosting a week long online crop- starting today! Find them online and on Facebook under the name SG Scrap Squad. There’s something that’ll appeal to everyone!

Sometimes, you can find scrapbooking supplies in the most unexpected places. The papers that I used in today’s layout cane from a liquidation store, years ago. I just now decided to use it. Aren’t they pretty?! I love the contrast of the floral paper from the gingham.

I combined those papers with Aprils’ CTMH Stamp of the Month- Life in Pictures. It’s full of vintage and fun camera stamps, as well as theme-fitting quotes and phrases. That adorable Polaroid is also part of it! (I used a pop-dot behind the camera to create a bit of depth).

Since we’re embarking on a new month, there is a new stamp of the month. This one is delicious- it’s full of cakes and cake slices. Perfect for every birthday and special occasion that requires cake!

This D size set retails for $21 CAD, but it can be yours when you make an order of $50. It can be anything- there’s no purchasing requirements to receive this beautiful stamp set. To sweeten the deal, combine your order with some friends and save on shipping costs!

The easiest way to place an order is on my website. You can do it anywhere- while you’re on the go, or from the comfort of your own home. Visit my website here.

Thanks for dropping by! I’ll be back again real soon with more layouts!

CTMH Stampaganza

Hello, fellow paper crafters!

I have another layout to share with you today.

Kelly Klapstein, over at Creative Scrapbooker, creates a sketch for the Double the Fun challenge, and I decided to play along with last months’ sketch.

I’ve tried but had no luck finding it again on the Creative Scrapbooker website to show you. Sorry about that!

Here’s how the sketch inspired me:

I am loving teal paired with lime green and yellow…such yummy colors!

I used a lot of cricut die cuts to tie this spread together; you’ll also see some CTMH Urban and Seaside in spots around the pages, too. The rest of the papers are DCWV, I believe.

In other news, welcome to March! Hopefully the weather treats us well this month. Don’t you agree? February left us like a lion, maybe March will go quietly like a lamb?

At Close to My Heart during the month of February, when you purchase any TWO stamp sets, you’ll receive the third stamp set FREE (of equal or lesser value).

We’re calling it STAMPAGANZA!

Fitting, I think! Spread the word, it’s a great deal!

I’ll share more about stampaganza again throughout the month, so don’t forget to stop in again and learn more about it. You can also learn more by visiting my CTMH website.

Thanks for dropping by and visiting with me for a few minutes! See you again soon!

CTMH Blossom Layout

Good afternoon, friends!

I started the day off with a treat. I didn’t have to take my kids to school this morning.

My husband did! Whoop!

It isn’t often that I get to start my day by just plunging into my daily chores. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

By 9:30 this morning, I’d finished my chores (the main one, anyways), and sat down to play while I waited for my laundry (second main chore of the day) to finish it’s wash cycle.

I’m usually just getting home by 9:30. And, this particular routine- doing a little bit of cleaning, then scrapbooking- is nearly a daily occurrence.

Yes, I have a problem.

No, I’m not ashamed to admit it.

Some days LOL!

It isn’t often I have enough pictures from a specific occasion or everyday occurrence to create a double page spread, but this time I did.

Even though only one of the twins is showcased in this project, the theme applies to both my children.

They’re both foodies.

They were born, started putting on weight and never looked back.

They’re now 6, four feet tall (and that’s a conservative estimate), and weigh a good 90 lbs. My children are far from small!

A bit like my husband, their daddy. I’ll be the shortest in our family before long.

The sketch below inspired this layout. It was also submitted to a challenge that I participated in during an online crop at Scrapbook Generation back on Superbowl Sunday.

I rotated the sketch 90° making the top photo border an end cap on either side of my design.

I did that mainly because I didn’t have four 4×6 inch photos to line the top of my spread with.

I used a mixture of CTMH Blossom and White Pines patterned papers, and stamped part of my title and die cut the rest using my cricut.

Thanks for stopping by!
