Etsy Tips

Do you own an Etsy shop? Whether you’re a new Etsy shop owner, or you’ve been open for business for a while, we all want business. We want to get noticed. How does one do that?
I came across this article via Pinterest,  and it’s full of great (helpful!) information!

I pinned this article so I could go back and read it when I’ve got more time- and when I can really study it and apply what I’ve learned to my own Etsy shop!

Its Time…

Happy Thursday! The time has finally come to start advertising my heart out. Its true. As you know, I’ve been posting here and there on my Etsy (and, if you didn’t–well, now you know!) I’ve also been posting throughout the summer on my Instagram (@The Everyday Scrapbooker) and Twitter. But, did you know that I am also an Urbee, and frequently post to Kijiji? Oh yes, that’s the absolute truth!

I spent the morning cleaning up my Made Urban shop, and have begun (slowly) adding new Close to My Heart and handmade product to my shop. The cards that I’m certain I still have on hand, I’ve left posted to my MU shop, but I’ll also be uploading new ones as I complete them. I would love it if you visited! (I don’t know the link to my shop on Made Urban at the moment; I’ll provide that at a later date. In the mean time, search The Everyday Scrapbooker, and you’ll find my shop!)

Do you know what Made Urban is? If you are Canadian- especially if you’re Albertan- then this is the site for you! It is, I like to think, the Canadian (read Albertan) version of Etsy. Anything and everything handmade can be found there. Its been on CTV news in the recent past, and they are a fairly new website! I’ve been with them since very nearly their inception. If you haven’t already, please do check them out. A lot of my crafty, hand making friends can be found there, too!

So, in the spirit of starting advertising anew, please remember that not only do I sell Close to My Heart product and host card classes. I also make (and sell!) greeting cards, scrapbooks, banners, tags and anything else you’d like made thats paper based. Give me a shout if you’re needing or wanting anything!

Day of Halves

I’m just dropping in quick this morning to share a few projects I made yesterday. We are having a “half birthday” play date for the girls today. I use that term very loosely- it isn’t a party in the traditional sense, just an excuse to get the girls friends together and have some wet, splashy fun in their pool, since we can’t do it during their real birthday, in February. I feel bad they didn’t have a birthday party last February, so today I’m making up for it. (August 22 is actually their half birthday). Hopefully the weather holds up! They’re for casting thunderstorms today, so we shall see…

Here’s another page in my mini album- I’m just over half way done!  (Oh–apparently we have a theme today- halves!) I have a few more pictures printed out so I can just start sticking things together when I get the chance to sit and play again.

I think I’m in love with this sweet card. It’s tiny, just 3×3, but it’s perfect for sending a quick note or bit of sunshine your friends’ way. Using up scraps on this card makes it even sweeter!

Supplies:

– CTMH Balloon Ride patterned paper
– CTMH Complements
– CTMH Exclusive inks in Sky and Chocolate
– CTMH stamps (Give a Lift and Delicate Wing)
– Recollections card stock (navy and sky)
– pop dots
– adhesive
– rhinestones
Don’t forget,  you can purchase any of the cards I post here or on my business page (I’ve also re-opened my Etsy store!); if they are already spoken for, or you want something specific, I can make something else. Or, purchase the supplies for the card above, and create your own! I am an independent Close to My Heart consultant, so I can help you with any questions or purchases you’re interested in making!

The upcoming week is going to be CUH-RAZY!! There’s an event here in White court on Wednesday- Arts in the Park- and you’ll be able to find me there!  It’s from 5 p.m to 8:30, with a movie to follow at 9:30. If you’re in the area, you should drop by! Thursday I’ll be off for four days, for a conference and scrapbook crop; you most likely won’t hear from me between Thursday and Monday, but I WILL have lots to share with you! Come Thursday (the 28th), we’re outta here again- this time headed to Indian Head, SK for the long weekend. It’s our last week of “vacation” before school starts on the 8th of September. Wish us luck- we’re bringing the twins, and I’m worried that all 800 or 1000 kms is going to be stressful to the max! (But really, it’s going to be a great trip, right?)
