Spin Layout

Hello everyone! It’s a slow day here, so I’m taking the time to drop in and share a layout with you!

I just realized it’s been quite awhile since I dropped in last. Last week, we spent time with my in laws so my husband could go hunting for deer. Deer is scarce this year, but luckily get found his muley (mule deer). We will have wild meat now until next November.  Yum!

The layout above was created with Recollections and CTMH cardstock and Momenta patterned papers. I created the pinwheels using my cricut.

Shoestring Planner Tuesday

Hello friends, it’s Tuesday! Feel like some planner goodness today?

As you can see, there was not much going on last week- it was rather quiet. I used scraps of paper to fill in the day views (news using 2 inches x 2.25 inches), then embellished them after all my appointments and reminders were written in.

Union Break

It’s the first day of the week already. Can you believe it?

The kids and I have been away from home this weekend- we’ve got three birthday parties to attend between Saturday (yesterday) and Monday. It’s going to be (and is!!) a crazy weekend!

Even though we’re busy, I still wanted to drop in and share another layout with you.

I began with a Pagemaps sketch that inspired me; next, I diluted antique white acrylic paint with water, and brushed it onto my background using a sponge brush. Once it was dry, with the help of a straight edge ruler, I drew a rectangular box off-center- first in pencil, then later filling it in with a black finetip pen. That was after I was happy with its placement.

Next, I arranged and layered some scrap patterned papers onto the background, then adhered my pictures to that. I layered the smaller picture onto cardstock to help it stand out a bit more.

The little pennants were created using bits and pieces of washi tape. To create them, I folded a piece of it in half so the sticky sides stuck together, then dovetailed one end, making the pennant.

I added some twine, ctmh puffy stickers and a punched butterfly to complete my page.

I hope you enjoyed today’s layout and I hope it inspires you!

Dream Big

Good morning! I’m sharing another layout I created, using cricut die cuts, stickers from my stash and a mixture of cardstock and patterned papers.

As always, I began with a sketch that inspired me. I changed the orientation of my design so it would work with my pictures, but liked the framed photo so kept that a part of my design.

I cut the title and everything layered beneath it with my cricut; I chose to add dimension to the title by adding pop dots to it.

Lastly, I turned a quote I found on Pinterest into my journaling. I thought it would work just as well as anything I could say on my own. 😀

Thanks for joining me today!

Spin

Hi everyone! I’m stopping in with a bonus post this morning because I wanted to play along with Stuck?! Sketches’ July 1 challenge.

Here is what I created using Laura’s sketch:

I used patterned papers from an 8×8 Momenta paper pad, as well as Recollections cardstock and polka dot paper; you’ll also see some CTMH Eggplant cardstock peeking out in places, as well.

I cut all the embellishments and my title with my cricut; the little white heart came from my stash and I stamped the date on a handmade pennant (from scrap coordinating papers).

I loved this sketch- my favorite part is the photo strip, which I fussy cut myself. I love the crisp colors and clean lines in my interpretation of the design, too. I’m crushing on these colors- I’ll have to use them again!

Thanks for stopping by!
