Try New Things PML Layout

Good morning, friends!

This is the first time all week there hasn’t been something planned or on the go. I’m elated I have the chance to spend a few minutes with you and share another project!

This layout sure makes me pine for frost- free days! I created this layout to mimic a PML (Picture My Life) or Project Life layout, without using the proper page protector for it. So, you’ll notice the page is divided equally into your sections- three along the top and three along the bottom.  In the first column on the farthest left of the page, I used PML journaling cards to embellish, title, and create a spot for the eye to rest from the bright and vivid colors in the pictures.

I added another (third) journaling card to the top far right on the page for some journaling. (Also, because the top most photo was cut to a 3×4 inch size.)

Lastly, to complete the page, I cut a trio of hearts using my cricut and adhered them to the centre of the page.

Treasured Moments Layout

I began this layout with a watercolor background, then layered paper and photos ontop of it. I used a 3×4 CTMH journaling card and some chippy embellishments for a little bling; there’s also two large chippy embellishments at the top of my photo cluster. They’re also both CTMH.

Smitten Layout

Good morning!

I’m sharing an “usie” of my husband and I. It isn’t often yours truly makes it into a layout, but here it is. Sick it up, because it’ll be a million layouts before I wind up in another one. Just kidding, lol.

I began by creating a watercolor background, then layered scrap papers ontop of it. I used a CTMH PML card (Picture my life), stamped and fussy cut some elements, and cut the title with my cricut.

To finish, I added some bakers twine, lace ribbon and old Jillibean ephemera.

This Shimelle Laine layout sketch inspired me.

Relax Pocket Pages

Hello everyone.  Today, I’m switching gears and sharing a couple pocket page layouts I created.

I used up some really ancient K&Co stickers that have been hidden in my stash for quite a few years. I also used some newer CTMH journal cards and paper flowers to embellish both sides of the page protector.

For a little extra flair (and further personal clarification), I stamped the year in white ink on the month date journal cards.

I thought I’d share a PML (Picture my life) layout with you instead of my usual traditional layout. It feels rather refreshing to share something slightly different!

All the cards used in today’s layout came from CTMH, as well as the page protector itself. I thoughts the cards were so pretty by themselves, I didn’t add any other embellishments or bling. Sometimes, less really is more.

I love using up my extra pictures this way; I feel better about not wasting anything- either the pictures themselves or the money I spent to have them printed. Win- win!

CTMH Monday

Welcome to Monday, which means it’s another day devoted to CTMH! These layouts were all created using various CTMH products; the last layouts was created mixing a couple PML decks of cards.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, happy 4th of July to my American friends and readers. Enjoy your holiday!

Thanks for joining me today!

CTMH Monday

Welcome to another edition of CTMH Monday! Here are my latest projects made using CTMH; I hope you enjoy! This post is relatively picture heavy, so without further adieu, here they are!

These last two pictures are one of the twins’ teachers’ thank you gifts. She is having a baby in October, and I thought this would be a nice way to thank her and congratulate her. (I shared the second photo to show what’s sealed inside the jar.) Everything to create this was bought from the Dollarama (yay!)- including the jar- and cost less than $10. (I had the kleenex on hand, as well as the clothes pins.)

I made the tag on my computer, and used some CTMH stamps to decorate it. I also tied the tag on with Lagoon twine. The white mesh ribbon came from the dollarama.

CTMH PML Delish

Wow, the week is over already!  Do you have special plans for the weekend?

I’m dropping in with another layout today. This layout features a real mixture of papers from different manufacturers, including PML cards from CTMH.

I wanted to create another layout highlighting my love of Boston Pizza’s Bandera bread  (with a side of ranch). It’s usually my go-to anytime we eat out there, which isn’t often.

Thanks for dropping by today! Enjoy the rest of your Friday, and I’ll be back again real soon!

Customs, Anyone?

Hello everyone! Today is the first day in awhile that my husband actually had work! Which meant that I could finally get back to my regular routine.

Boy, it feels good 😃

So, y’all know that I’m crazy for paper crafting. I established that fact a long time ago.

And y’all know that I am proficient in card making and layout making. Also a long established fact.

It’s also well known that everything I’ve shared- to date- is meant for my personal use.

But, did you know that I accept custom requests, as well?

Times are tough, and I’m actively looking for ways to creatively supplement our income- hence the reason I am a Close to My Heart consultant and create and sell custom requested cards and albums.

Now, I know this craft isn’t popular and in high demand like other handmade products are. Scrapbooking and papercrafting is a lost art- “snail mail” is a lost art. Needing a card for different occasions in our lives never goes out of style. We’ll always need them.

Not very many people have requested hand made items, and of the ones that did, even fewer have come back for more than one purchase. I’m OK with that. The ones that have returned, I’m incredibly thankful for and sincerely appreciate their kindness. I know there are more of you out there- the trick is finding you!

They haven’t returned not because of the poor job I’ve done, or lousy customer service. It’s solely because there’s very little interest in this type of art these days. It’s a dying breed.

If anyone wants a scrapbook or handmade card, they usually can (and do!) make it themselves. I’m looking for the people that love the way it looks, or would love to create something themselves, but don’t have a the time, know how or patience to paper craft! I know you exist, and I know you can have pretty paper-made things with very little effort. The question is, are you willing to give in?!

In turn, help support a local, home-based business.

All cards and scrapbooks are made from high quality products (mostly Close to My Heart), and are affordably priced. All the work you’ve seen here are indicative of what your finished projects will look like. Scrapbook albums can be purchased through CTMH if you don’t currently own one; if you do, kindly send it along with your printed photos, so each page can be created around the theme of each photo/group of photos.

As I alluded to above, in order for a scrapbook album to be created, I kindly ask for your pictures to be printed and sent to me (I will pick up if you’re in or around Edmonton!) along with your scrapbook album and any other mementos you’d like included in your custom scrapbook album. If you opt to purchase a scrapbook album via Close to My Heart, the price of it will be included in your total. (Albums are $100 + cost of album and shipping from CTMH).

Cards are $2 each, but can be bundled into packs (of any denomination) at a discounted price.

All prices are in Canadian currency. I will ship across Canada; shipping charges will be included. If you live in or near Edmonton, I am willing to meet you to pick up and drop off all orders! 😃

I hope this appeals to someone out there. If it does, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m here and more than happy to help you out!

CTMH Our Story Double Page LO

I’m back again today to share more scrappy goodness with you, even though I am not at home. This post- and tomorrows- were pre-scheduled. We left mid morning on Friday to meet my in laws halfway between here and Oyen so that the twins can visit their grandparents for a few days over Easter break.

Today, I have another layout to share with you. This one is actually a double page spread- made using some CTMH PML cards.

As you can see, I used CTMH Our Story PML cards to embellish this spread, as well as Beloved Bouquet stamped flowers. All the papers here are K&Co.

Thanks for joining me today! I’ll be back again real soon!
