Creative Parentheses

Good morning! So, I mentioned a couple days ago something called “parentheses projects”. What exactly does that mean?
As you’re aware, I’ve been working on a second special request album (my third from this particular customer, actually). When I first brought home the materials my customer gave me (just pictures and an 8×8 album with page protectors), I was confused by wedding pictures that were included. The album I’m working on is for a girl no older than 15, so wasn’t sure what she had in mind.
As it turns out, my customer wanted just a couple engagement and wedding photos included in my first special request album. She contacted me after the wedding (10 days after the wedding took place) to explain what those pictures were about. So, the projects I’m sharing today are a little break from project special request installment II- a creative parentheses, if you will!

And there you have it! Maybe this’ll turn into a wedding album at some point, too!
Tomorrow, I’ll have another card to share before jumping back into sharing my regular special request installment II programming . See you all again soon!

Parentheses Projects

Good morning! As you can see from both these layouts, I did a lot of layering! There’s also a lot of stamping, watercoloring and pinks and purples! I stuck with these, since the pictures clearly stated that this little girls’ dedication theme were these particular colors 😀

I hope this inspires you to get creative, and have fun with it! I’ll be back again tomorrow with more layouts! And, soon, very soon, I’ll be sharing some “parentheses” projects. You’ll understand what I mean shortly. Enjoy the rest of your day, wherever it takes you and wherever you are!

Shin Han Coloring

Hello, friends! Sorry for the long absence. We traveled to the southern part of the province to visit grandma and grandpa last Thursday (leaving the twinlets there with them) and returned home late Sunday night- just in time for me to take on painting the hallway on the main level of my house. The previous owners did a poor job of painting, so to fix that, I’ve done a little painting here and there over the last few years to improve its appearance. Once the guest bathroom is painted, I’ll have finished the entire main level!
Now that I’m done painting, I can spend the next few days scrapbooking. My kids should be coming home on Sunday or Monday. And, I’ll scrap as much as I can without my computer- it’s not working again. This time, its my keyboard. 😯:'(😣
I do have a couple layouts to share with you!

Most everything in both these layouts is CTMH. I did a lot of watercoloring in the first layout, using gelatos; the second layout features coloring with CTMH’s Shin Han Alcohol markers. Both layouts also contain a lot of cricut die cuts- the first is mainly found in the background, and the second layout in the title and embellishing.
I hope you enjoyed today’s layouts. I’ll be back tomorrow to share more!

Color Crushing…

Good morning! It’s a soggy one here today, and it makes my heart happy. We desperately need moisture in our area. I hope we get lots more!
I have more layouts today. Woop!

The balloons in the picture inspired me to create my own bunch of balloons. I also wanted to keep the color palette soft, since it’s a baby layout. I used a mixture of CTMH, SU and Carta Bella scraps.

On this layout, I water colored, spritzed and sprayed, masked, stamped and adhered Cricut die cuts. Just for good measure,  I doodled too. I think I ran the gamut with this spread. Ha! I’m really crushing on the colors here, too. Yummy!
