Adventure Awaits + Fresh Air

After yesterday, I’m not sure I’ll get anymore scrapbooking done this weekend. I’m hoping to, though! I’ve got more birthday cards to tackle for next month! (If you celebrate a birthday in July, let me know. I’d love to send you a card!)

I completed two more single page layouts yesterday, on of which was already on my desk. It was waiting for some final touches. Then I made one more before heading to the kitchen to do a bit of baking with the twins. We might do more today, since it’s more rainy than yesterday was. The only problem with baking is that I eat it. 🙄 Scrapbooking doesn’t contribute to my weight gain. That’s why I love it so much! 🤣

Here’s two more layouts made with Fresh Air. To mix things up a bit, I used a couple stamps outside this range. The first is from Postcard Perfect, and the second is What Matters Most. The latter stamp set is available to purchase from my website. You’ll see it stamped in the background on the White Daisy card stock in the first layout.

In the second layout, would you believe that I trimmed two 3×4 PML cards into two and placed them in a column above and below one of my 3×4 photos? It is true. Rather than cutting into a 12×12 sheet of patterned paper to achieve the same effect, those worked just as well!

I also used a couple zip strips in this layout, too. The blue one was used as a border and the second was trimmed down and used to fill the gap at the bottom of the patterned paper column. Last, but not least, how great is the round stamp out there near the outside of the layout? It’s my new fave! It’s so unique!

More CTMH Postcard Perfect

I played with Postcard Perfect some more today!

Look at all those bright and warm colours, and that stunning vellum! And, as I said before, I’ll be hoarding this paper. I just love it too much.

In the top layout, I used one of the icons from the cut apart sheet of paper. It just jumps off the page!

This paper collection is coming to you next week! Yes, next week already! April has just flown by, and I’m super excited to share all May has in store for us! Keep coming back here- right here– to learn more!

CTMH Postcard Perfect

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to share some artwork with you today! Do you have pictures of a vacation you took in an exotic location- or just a fab vacation that you’ve been waiting for the perfect papers to scrapbook them on?

This will interest you if you’re one of those people! I have to admit, I had to go searching for anything even remotely holiday related, but I did find a couple pictures in my pile to scrapbook 😃

The beaches and margaritas are calling…they want you to join them for rest and relaxation. Or, at least, re-live your rest and relaxation on the beaches, or on your cruise, or in the remote wilderness of Alaska. I re-lived beach day at school a couple years ago. The twins dressed up in their grass skirts and lei’s for the occasion.

I’m so excited to share this paper packet and coordinating stamp set with you! All the papers in it are reminiscent of the beach- from wavy patterns, to Hawaiian floral patterns, to super cute itty bitty polka dot bikini type of patterns (no bikinis, just polka dots).

The best part of the paper packet is that there’s 4 sheets of printed vellum in it! There’s a gorgeous palm leaf pattern and another polka dot pattern! There’s two sheets of each of those patterns! There’s also two sheets of a cutaway paper that adds the perfect accent pieces to your projects!

All the sheets in the paper packet- and there’s 24 of them- are printed on both sides, so you’ll get twice the mileage of one sided sheets! There’s also a wide range of colours that coordinates with it- including mint, white daisy, peacock, and our colour of the year- bashful. You’ll see those four colours displayed in my layout above.

The stamp set has a variety of images and phrases to choose from, too. I created a sort of vintage- Las Vegas-esque postcard to the right of my pictures using them. So, the palm trees, let’s go image and adventure awaits image are all included. So is the hisbiscus flowers, as well!

Want to get your hands on this exclusive kit? It’s available May 1! Contact me to order yours- I’d love to hook you up! And, in the mean time, stay tuned for more inspiring artwork!

Field Trip

Hello everyone! I’ve got a couple other layouts to share with you, using the super cute Stargazer. I feel bad that I haven’t used the A side of the paper more. I plan to, but not many of my pictures work with it 😞

So, to make the best of the situation, I’m sticking with the B side for the time being. In this case, it worked well to highlight our field trip to the RCMP (police) station.

I picked up the colours in the RCMP logo, and carried it through the rest of my design. I used goldrush for the title and embellishing. I also used some of the Stargazer Complements to embellish my page. You’ll notice them along the left hand side of the page.

(Is it just me, or does the background remind you of vintage Pepsi commercials or the Pepsi logo?)

It’s A Circus

Friends! Happy Saturday!

I have a new layout to share with you today. I made it for myself. NOT for a workshop. How great is that?! 😃

My life is a circus these days. I’m sure some of you can relate. 😳

At least this circus is one that everyone would look forward to. It came to town a few years back. We watched as they set up their tents- it was a great way to build anticipation and excitement. When the day finally came for us to go see it, we were nearly bursting at the seams. It was a lot of fun. One day we’ll make it back 😊

I used some Stargazer to create this spread, and paired some Beary Christmas and poppy cardstock with it. It looks great together! The ticket and title located inside it, and the sweet little elephant, were all cut with my Cricut. It’s saved to my Cricut, but is not set to public. It could be…if anyone wants to create this layout, too! Comment below 😉

Out of This World

Happy Wednesday. How did we get here so quickly? A minute ago it was Monday! I’m currently working on another project, but wanted to take a quick break to show you my latest layout.

How cute is this paper?! It’s called Stargazer, and it’s perfect for all your astronomy lovers, boys and science geeks! (My daughter is one of them). I tried tying horses and space together…how did I do? 😂

This was their first experience riding a horse, and I’m sure they’d tell you it was out of this world. Their minds were blown, and frequently ask when they can go again.

This is project two in my layout buffet. Stay tuned to see more. More is coming!

Seasonal Expressions 1 Layout Buffet

Hi friends, I have a bit more to share today about a new workshop I’m organizing.

Coming up in March- the 14th from 5-8 pm, to be exact- I will be hosting my very first layout buffet! From my (limited) experience, this type of workshop is fairly new and considered “uncharted territory” by a lot of consultants. I’m excited to try it out, and I’m excited my customers are willing to experiment with me!

There are 4 double page layouts we will tackle, challenging ourselves to complete them in the 3 hour time limit. There will also be two bonus single page layout kits available for purchase, for $5 each. The fee for the buffet itself is $40. All the materials will be pre-stamped and pre-cut; everything will be supplied. Bring along your tape runner, if you have one, and just assemble!

Here’s how I envision it’ll work: to simplify the process for everyone, printed and illustrated instructions will be found for each layout spread at each of their respective stations. The sample I made will be displayed as well, with my pictures attached for a good visual. The samples are also posted right to the event page on Facebook- with and without my photos.

The bonus layouts will also have instructions included- for free. They will be displayed along with my sample double page layouts.

I’m currently still working on the projects we’ll create in this workshop, and I’ll share the rest here as I complete them. Here’s what I’ve created up to this point:

Project #1 with and without pictures

Bonus single page layout #1

I’m so excited about sharing these projects, I can’t remember what else I needed to share with you! Well, if I think of it, I guess you’ll be hearing from me again rather soon!

January SOTM Bloom & Grow

Hello friends. Today, I’m sharing a layout I made using the all new Chelsea Gardens paper. This layout actually lay on my desk for a couple days…what I had originally planned to use didn’t jive. I swapped out the Pebble background with White Daisy cardstock, and replaced the light blue (recollections) cardstock with Chelsea Gardens.

Then I realized that January’s SOTM, Bloom & Grow, would look awesome layered next to the picture of my mom and sister. I used Sweet Leaf, Glacier and Whisper inks to create the journaling spot.

Remember, this collection and the SOTM are available beginning January 1, 2018.

We Mermaid To Be Friends

How bright and sunshiny does this layout feel? It’s a lot like the afternoon we spent at rotary park with our bffs. Happiness is sunshine and kfc with our besties, am I right? 😉

I used CTMH Whimsy Fundamentals and it’s coordinating complements. I paired it all with our SOTM this month, A Little Bit of Pun.

I was able to look up my last order and discovered that (happily), it has been shipped and should be here on Friday. I honestly can’t wait to show you the new products! They’ll be available to you in just a few short weeks!

Until then, I may not have much to share with you. This is the last layout I have to share with you. I’ve been playing nurse to the twins for the last two weeks. The flu has hit us hard this year 😔 Even sadder, we’re missing our Christmas concert this year 😞😭 The twins are devastated. It’s today. Anyone else agree that while the warm weather is glorious, it’s a double edged sword? At this time of year, we can’t have the best of both worlds- if the weather remains warm, our babies will remain ill. I vote for miserable, cold weather to kill the viruses floating around. You in??
