Here’s the details: it’s already started! You have until 9 am on Monday morning (MST) to bid. I’ll finalize everything then and announce the winners shortly afterwards. Help me de-stash! Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/514677782012602/?ref=share

I’ve also got a new stamp of the month to share with you- and it’s coordinating pre-cut card kit!

Give a bear hug with this beary cute stamp set, Bear Hugs. It’s available only through this month. It’s $25 if you purchase it on its own, or $6 when you add it to a $50+ order. That’s savings of over 75%! Everything is bear themed lately. Have you noticed that? CTMH does an amazing job of keeping up with the trends- way better than I ever would! Lol

The card kit I cut for you contains three cards (including envelopes), and instructions (usually just a picture) thats sent to you via Facebook messenger (best quality). There’s no charge. It’s absolutely free! Consider it my gift for placing an order with me.

Hope to see you there!

Try Something New!

Good morning, and welcome to a rainy and soggy Wednesday! I’m a little earlier than usual, because the rain has kyboshed my usual morning walk. But, that’s ok. I’ve got a lot to share with you!

First up is Scrap Your Stash. Ever heard of it? Its an online event I host for one week every month. It’s geared toward getting us using up our scrap paper pile and our hoarded stash. I know you’ve got one. If you’re a paper crafter, its part of the territory. It happens. What do you do with it all? How do you use it up? There are new creative challenges every day, meant to inspire you and ignite your creativity. You’ll find it fun and rewarding! We’re in full swing right now, but its not too late to join. Did I mention its completely online and 100% free?! Oh, yes. Come check us out! I love you all, but this challenge is open to Canadian residents only. Sorry!

New product alert!!! We all know Father’s Day is coming up, and CTMH has just released the most amazing Fathers’ Day mini album kit, called You’re the Best. Its similar to the Mothers’ Day album I shared with you earlier this month, in that its got a stylish wooden cover like the other one did. But, this kit is geared totally towards the dads in our lives. The papers in it are earthy and masculine, the album is interactive (there’s different shaped pages inside), its simple to put together, and at a fantastic price to boot!

Included in the kit is a stamp set, card stock and patterned paper pack, twine, and the square mini album cover (three O- rings included). An album kit like this would regularly cost you around $52, but we’re giving you a 25% discount that you can apply to the purchase of this awesome kit right away, making it just $39! Woot!

CC61911 You’re the Best Fathers’ Day 6×8 Mini album kit

OR purchase the CC 6199 workshop kit without the stamp set, and get it for just $27.50. Both price points are phenomenal! You’ll be spending around that much on a gift for the dad in your life anyways, so why not consider a handmade gift? If you purchase the CC6196E My Father stamp set and CC6197 wood mini album separately, you’re looking at $24.75 and $10.25 respectively. The paper would be up to you; its only available in the kit, not a stand alone item.

This amazing mini album workshop is available today through June 30, so there’s lots of time to purchase it. But, a word to the wise- don’t wait too long to purchase it. This will be a hot item, like the Mothers Day album was, and will only be available while supplies last. Head to my website and type in You’re the Best into the search bar, click on it in the header at the top of the page, or message me to reserve yours!

I mentioned last week that I wanted to share with you what we’ve been up to in some of the various groups I have on Facebook. Anyone is welcome to join them! I’ll provide the links as I go along so that you can easily find us. To start, I’d like to share with you what the Try it Out Techniques group is up to. For the month of May, we’re putting together the Story Starter- Story by Stacy mini album. We’re doing it slowly via Facebook live, and when the month is over, we’ll have a beautiful album of the special women (moms, or people that fill the mom role) in our lives. Share it with them as a gift, or proudly display it on a shelf at home. Today is our next meeting- at 1 pm MST. If you’d like to join us, visit us on Facebook here. Just be aware that you’ll need to purchase this album, and its coordinating stamp set, D1786 Quotable Words! Find both on my website, which is found in the watermark on the photo below.

Next, I shared a quick video with my friends about our new Liquid Glass Applicator. Its a totally new product to Close to My Heart, and it makes using our Liquid Glass so much easier! It no longer clogs, and the flow is easier to control with the applicator top. I could hardly wait to show it off to everyone, because its that amazing. If you don’t believe me, you’ll have to try it out for yourself. Its just $6 CAD to purchase, and once again, is available on my website. Look for Z4089 (Fine Tip Applicator), and Z679 Liquid Glass (in case you need a new bottle). See the video I did here.

Last, but not least, I have one more video tutorial to share with you. This time, its using some of our product- specifically our re-inkers- to create a water-colour background for a layout and card that I made. Its a really simple technique involving dropping some re-inker onto your craft mat, spritzing it with water, and dragging your card stock through it. Water-colour paper would work. I did not have any on hand at the time, so I used regular White Daisy card stock to achieve the same look (just in a slightly different way). Check it out and maybe try it for yourself! If you do, tag me so that I can see how it inspired you! I love seeing everyone’s creativity.

I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post, and found something intriguing or inspiring to fill your day. See you again soon!

Its May! (Soon, anyways)

Good morning crafty friends! What a busy week we had! I hosted another successful Scrap Your Stash event- the next one is coming up in a couple of weeks, and then we celebrated my husbands’ birthday and Easter. We spent a day at home, a day with my father in law, and a day with my parents. What did you do for Easter? I even found some time to create an Easter layout amidst the planning and creating I’m doing to prepare for Crafturday- which is just two short weeks away. Are you coming?!

If you do plan to attend Crafturday, registration is here! The last day to reserve your spot is Friday, April 26. Its just $25, so if you’re not doing anything on May 4, consider coming out and get your craft on! Join the dark side- we’ve got food, fun and more! There will be artwork samples on display with new product, so come on out and check it out! As well, I’ll have my own supplies on hand for you to use, a small selection of product and handmade goodness to purchase, refreshments and loads of inspiration! Its going to be a relaxing, fantastic day.

Since you’re reading this, you’re in for a surprise. You get a sneak peek of the artwork I’ll have on display at Crafturday. Aren’t you lucky? 😉

Everyone that arrives at Crafturday will receive their own thank you gift, complete with a sweet 3×3 inch greeting card, a layout (with a technique demo) they are free to complete at the day crop, and other goodies. Those will be a surprise. (I actually need to figure out what those are going to be. Lets be honest, I need to get my poop in a group!)

Feels Like Home
The World is Yours
The World is Yours

With the exception of Feels Like Home, everything seen here is absolutely new product, and will be showcased at Crafturday on May 4. I created all these layouts using inspiration from the Seasonal 1 catalog, workshop instructions, and Pinterest. Inspiration can come from anywhere! Did you know there’s only one week left to order from SE1? Everything from it retires on April 31. May 1 Seasonal Expressions 2 goes live, and all the product in it. Not much (read everything is expiring, except 1 or 2 items). If there’s anything you missed, or don’t want to miss out on, get your orders in now. Once the new catalog goes live, the Feels Like Home artwork will be available for purchase. Comment below or message me for more details.

Did you notice the card hidden amongst the layouts above? That card, and others like it, will be part of a small card buffet that’ll be available to participate in at my Crafturday day crop. Make as many cards as you like for $2 a piece. Its totally optional; have fun with the day!

So, since May is right around the corner, here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming up next month. I’ll share more details next week (that includes The World is Yours, too).

Story Starter- Story by Stacy
May Stamp of the Month

Are you part of my Try it Out Techniques group? If not, you may want to consider joining. We explore new crafting techniques together, and starting in May we’re going to explore the Story by Stacy range. I have not ordered my workshop kit yet, so the date we’ll commence the workshop is yet to be determined. Here’s how its going to work: once a week, we’ll meet via Facebook Live to assemble the mini album together. Each person that participates will need to purchase the album kit (its $19.50) and the coordinating stamp set (which is $24.75); they’ll also need ten to fifteen 4×4 pictures of a special woman in their life- their mom, grandmother, aunt, or a male figure that filled the role of mom in their lives). Save on shipping, and add your workshop kit to my order! If you’re local to Whitecourt, I’ll deliver! Bulk order goes in April 30.

Mother’s day is quickly approaching. This would be a sweet memento to give to that special lady in your life, or a special way to pay homage to her. If you’re new to scrapbooking, this would especially be a workshop you should look in to. The Story by Stacy workshops were designed with you in mind, teaching you step by step, in its most simplified form, the art of scrapbooking. Each instalment in her collection of workshops broadens the scope just a little bit more, so eventually you’ll confidently and easily be able to create stunning and interactive scrapbooks that you can be proud of. If this sounds interesting to you, join me here.

Lastly is the new stamp of the month! (See above). The two girls and the balloons are the most popular icons in that stamp set; did you know that? All the artwork I’ve been privy to seeing all showcase the two girls. Its perfect for any pick-me-upper your gal pals need. The scallop border stamp is super adorbs, too. I can’t wait to play with it! Don’t forget, if you purchase this stamp set from me, I’ll mail three handmade cards as a thank you, absolutely free! When you place an order of $50 or more, the stamp set drops to $6. That’s a savings of over 70%! Its regularly $24.75. Place an order any time, but this stamp of the month is not available until May 1. Until then, the current stamp of the month is available (with the same fantastic deal, as well!)

Thanks for sticking with me for this long. I know this post is another novel, but I hope you found something inspirational in it! See you again soon.

Hello April!

Good morning my patient and amazing friends! April is flying by, wouldn’t you agree?! I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping the weather decides to warm up in the near future. The cool temperatures is getting old. On a brighter note, welcome to the newly elected United Conservative party here in Alberta. The winds of change are blowing! Hopefully they will get us back on track.

You’ve heard about the stamp of the month, right? Have you seen April’s stamp of the month- S1904 Love So Sweet? Check it out:

S1904 Love So Sweet

I am offering something new to my customers- or anyone that purchases the stamp of the month. Whoever purchases it will receive a set of three pre-cut greeting cards to create using the SOTM absolutely free. Yes, FREE! They’re not just any cards. These ones! There’s something else you gotta know about these particular cards. Its important, so listen close. When you attend my Crafturday day crop (the next one is May 4- May the 4th Be with You), you’ll have the opportunity to participate (its optional) in my Toonie card buffet. Its a Toonie bar meets an all you can eat buffet. Each card you create (meaning as many as you’d like) is $2. Make as many as you want. You’ll find these cards (and others!!) at this Day Crop and every other one from here on out. One day, I may offer card buffets again. In the mean time, get your feet wet with this little teaser 😉

They may look familiar to you if you’ve spent any time browsing through the current catalog. If you’ve done that, then you’ll understand why they look familiar! I lifted them from inside the SE1 catty. (Head to the very back of the catalog, and you’ll see all the stamps of the month for the catalog cycle). I’ll be doing this with every subsequent Stamp of the Month, so watch the blog and my Facebook Page for new artwork in May! This is an even better incentive to purchase the stamp of the month, even though getting it at 75% off with a $50 order is fantabulous enough! (By the way, its regularly $25 for the stamp set itself). Whoa. Great deal, right?! There’s still time to get it before the month runs out, and there’s amazing specials and deals happening right now, too! It’ll be so easy to reach that $50 order- you’ll have it in no time!

Mothers Day is quickly approaching, and I’m certain you’ve begun thinking about what you’re going to do for the special women (or Mr. moms!!) in your lives. Made with Love is the answer! Create a special and meaningful mini album (its got a wood cover, y’all!!) using bright and vibrant, cheerful papers. Everything you need to assemble the album is included in the workshop kit (including a link to download the instructions once its purchased- free of charge) and its only $58. Because you’re so awesome, we’re giving it to you at a very special discount. These albums are going to sell out quickly, so don’t wait too long to order yours. You’re going to love it, I promise.

Everyone needs a brag book in their lives, am I right? They can be for anything, and they’re a quick and easy way to put a mini album together to remember a special moment in your life. Well, we’ve brought that to you with the Wild About You mini album kit. The album and all the materials you need to assemble your little brag book is all included- and once again, you’ll find the instructions to create it are FREE to download when the kit is purchased. Its a phenomenal price, just $38. Who loves to save? Me, I do! I’m sure you do, too! Deals don’t come around often enough, but they’re common with Close to My Heart. What a fantastic company.

But wait, there’s more! Zoe came back, can you believe it?! Available only for a limited time, this retired collection has been revamped and is available to purchase once again. There’s new embellishments, card stock and artwork to lift with this cheerful and playful kit. Zoe is available a variety of different ways, and each option has a different price point. Obviously, your biggest bang for your buck is to purchase the workshop bundle. You’ll get everything, including the stamp set and free instructions to download all for $58. Bingo! Here’s another simple way to get your stamp of the month for just $6- with just one item! But, if you’re not interested in purchasing the coordinating stamp set, you can opt out of it. You’ll find the workshop kit is just $33 instead. But, hold on! Order just the coordinating card stock or paper packet for just $13 a piece. Skip all the frou-frou and just order the bones of the collection. That’s fine, too! So, as you can see, we make it easy to fit this collection (and any of our workshops, really) into your budget, no matter what bracket it falls in.

That’s quite a bit to share, isn’t it? Feeling overwhelmed yet? Don’t. The purpose of showing you everything that’s going on this month was purely to show you what products you could purchase to easily reach the $50 threshold enabling you to purchase the stamp of the month for $6. Obviously, you can purchase it at the full retail price and just be done with it, or you can order more items for less money to achieve the same goal. Variety is the spice of life, isn’t it? If we didn’t have choices, life would be pretty dull. If any of the products I share above resonate with you, get in touch with me and I’ll help you get what you want ordered. You can also do it yourself, any time you’re able, from the comfort of your home. Just visit teds.closetomyheart.ca. You’ll be brought directly to my online shop.

Just a note: you must reside in Canada in order to shop from my website. If you’re located outside of Canada- in either the USA or Australia/New Zealand, I can help you find the consultant that’s nearest you.

I’ve got just one more goody to share with you. This product will not be available to purchase until May- its National Scrapbooking Months’ promotion at Close to My Heart- but I wanted to share a sneak peek of it with you. See it here:

Doesn’t it look divine?! Oh my, those soft, subtle colors make me go 😍. There’s vellum. And Kraft paper. Need I say more?! More about this coming in the next couple weeks, including artwork. See you again soon!

Dash of Inspo Tuesday

In a few days (closer to a week, honestly) I’ll be moving on from playing with Something Fierce. The next collection I’ll be working on is I Heart Us. Here’s a peek:

But in the meantime, I have a couple more layouts to show you that’s made from the Something Fierce collection:

I also have another layout that mixed papers from Heart Happy and past, retired collections:

That’s all I’ve been up to lately! Scrap Your Stash was a huge hit. It was so fun, and a lot of prizes were handed out! We’re doing it again in February! Consider joining us- it’s open to everyone, CTMH consultant or not. Keep February 17-24 in mind. That’s when we’re diving into our stashes again 😊

Month in Review: January

I created a lot this month, but I just wanted to highlight hat I created with Heart Happy. Some layouts will have other CTMH papers mixed in, but I just wanted to give you a general idea of how it looks completed. FYI- I still have half the paper packet left! Being frugal in your crafting goes a long, long ways!

Stay tuned for more of that adorable polar bear…more about him coming soon!

Heart Happy is available until January 31, 2019. I am placing a bulk buy order on the 31, so if you’d like this kit for yourself, let me know! You can also order it online yourself at teds.closetomyheart.ca. If you’re in Canada, I can help you with your order. If not, there’s a consultant locator on my website. It’ll help you find the CTMH consultant nearest you- and she can help you order it!

TEDS Scrap Your Stash

Good afternoon, friends!

Scrap Your Stash is in full swing, and prizes are flying out the door. We’re having a lot of fun! You should think about joining in- there’s three days left. Join us again in February (17-24) for more creative fun. It’s official- there’s an event! And a group!

Here’s some of what’s been created. (All artwork is mine; you’ll have to join the group to see everyone else’s incredible artwork).

Some great prizes have been won, as well, with more being given away tomorrow and the rest of the week. Want to win some fab swag? Visit the links above!

Anyway, I hope I succeeded in enticing you to join the fun. It’s open to everyone. This event is completely online, and we’re not picky about who joins or where you’re from. Just come out and work through your craft stash. Use up those scraps! It all ends at 11:59 pm MST on the 28th. Be there or be square 😊

TEDS January Events

Hello friends!

As you know, I have a Scrap Your Stash event coming up that you are more than welcome to join and participate in. Coincidentally, it also coincides with another event I have happening over in my Try it Out group on Facebook (which, now that I think about it, I might have missed doing a FB Live this morning. Oops! There’s always some bumps getting back into routine after a holiday, right??)

Were you unaware that I’m hosting a Scrap Your Stash event later this month? Its scheduled to take place between January 21-28. Its a week long because a lot of my customers are having a hard time working around their sports and work schedules and I want this to be as inclusive (and successful) as possible! The goal of this event is to get you working with the items you already have on hand, and using up your ever expanding pile of scrap papers (and embellishments, ribbons, journaling cards, etc.) Play along with us! There is still room, because this event is happening online! You choose the day and time that works for you, and get some crafting done. When you’re done, take a picture of your completed project, and upload it to my business page for your chance to win some Close to My Heart swag from yours truly. I want to share, and I think this is a wonderful way to do it! To join, follow this link: https://www.facebook.com/events/2266068393718707/

What’s the Try It Out event that I mentioned? I’m focusing on using spray inks in my artwork (I’m still waiting on new product to arrive, so to kill time I’m using up my stash, and playing with things that I don’t often play with) and I’m challenging my groupies to play with it, too. Or, try it out, if they’ve never tried it before. The Facebook Live that I was (still am) going to do was to walk participants through how to put together the layout I shared with you the other day (find the blog post here). Then, try it out yourself! I’m posting additional artwork to the group event to further inspire the participants. The layout I’m going to share with you today is one of them!

In this layout, I used HS spray ink in Tea, which covers the criteria for the Try it Out event that I have planned (I’ll share the fine details soon), and it covers the criteria for my Scrap Your Stash event! Its pulling double duty, which is awesome. Its saving me more work- keep it simple, silly. Thats the best policy ever! (All the paper that’s used, except for the White Daisy card stock, is all scraps. The dark blue base is actually retired CTMH paper that I have a ton of!)

Oh, phew! I didn’t miss the Facebook Live that’s I’ve got planned! (Great memory, just short). That will be happening next Saturday, if you’d like to check it out. (That’s the 12th). If you’d like to participate in it, find the event here. Are you a member of my Try it Out group? Head to Facebook, and join here. I’d love to see you at both events, that would be so great!

CTMH Days of December

Get into the holiday spirit with this fun photo prompt challenge! Related to CTMH’s Days of December collection (which I’m bringing to you as a workshop in January), the photo prompt challenge helps you memorialize the holidays by promoting you to take one photo per day using the suggestions in the graphic above. I’ve already started! Would you like to join? It’s free, simple to do (like, it literally takes less than 2 minutes out of your day) and will be a lot of fun! When you’re done, you’ll have 31 AMAZING pictures ready to be put into your albums! It’s a no-brainer.

Here’s day 1:

Where do you go to participate? Find my photo challenge group on Facebook, or participate with me on Instagram! (@theeverydayscrapbooker) I hope to see you there!
